What PSP emulators to play SNES on your PSP?

The beauty of the PSP is the fact that you can install a psp emulator and enjoy the old games from various consoles. You can now play your old Mario games from your SNES on your PSP!
This article will show you what the most powerful emulator for each supported console is and how to install it on your playstation portable.
First of all you should know that you can play SNES games on your PSP only if you possess them and have bought them. In any other cases it would be considered as piracy and it should be done at your own risks.

The best SNES emulator for PSP is the one called Snes TYL.
In order to play with those emulators you need to have the right firmware inside your psp. Check out the documentation before installing the software of it might not work.
Your first step as soon as you have download your snes program is to check if you have a EBOOT.PBP file inside your archive. If you don’t have it, you need to find it or you won’t be able to play snes games on your psp.
Now you will plug your PSP with you computer by using the USB cord.
On your computer you need to use a program called Sei PSP tool 0.2 in order to install the SNES emulator into your PSP.
Open the program on your computer.
Then you have to setup the program by entering the name of the folder where the emulator will be installed.
In the PBP file section you need to select the EBOOT.PBP file that you have downloaded and in the PSP Unit section you need to select the drive that leads to you Memory Stick.
Click on Generate and it will automatically install the SNES emulator into the selected folder.
You should now proceed to copy your SNES rom games inside the folder in your Memory Stick.
You are done. Just browse to the SNES emulator in your PSP Memory Stick and run the application. You should see the different games you just copied inside and should be able to play.
Don’t forget to setup your buttons in order to play!
You might need to increase the CPU speed to 333 Mhz if the emulation is too slow as some game are more resource intensive than others. You can also tune the frame rate to 2 in order to have a perfect rendition.
Some games are still not well supported especially the ones that use the 3D rendition as F-Zero or Mario Kart.
However you will be able to run the classic games like Donkey Kong Country or Legend of Zelda without a problem.
